Help Hostos Students Take “What You Will” to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August

The student actors of “What You Will” have been selected to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival, featuring more than 50,000 performances across Edinburgh ranging from comedy shows to cabaret, circus acts to contemporary dance, and everything in between. Your support can help cover student’s travel costs for this incredible opportunity to showcase their talents to an international audience. This is the third time Hostos students will perform at this festival, and the College is honored to be one of only two community colleges from North America invited to perform this year.

Actors from the 2019 troupe recalled, “I have taken from this once-in-a-lifetime experience [that] my heart and feelings can touch others through my performance, and no one can take that away from me,” and, “I learned a lot about myself and gained the confidence to believe in myself–to feed my faith and not my fears.”

Not all members of this exceptional group of students are pursuing careers in the performing arts. Their majors are as varied as digital media, electrical engineering, and psychology, to name a few. Hostos seeks to create opportunities, like this one, for students to develop a new talent and learn about themselves in the process.
