The Alumni Fund for Student Transfer Scholarship (AFSTS) provides financial resources to help a graduating Hostos student to continue their education at a four-year institution of their choice. Your generosity will help talented and motivated students to use their Hostos Community College education and propel themselves toward further degree attainment. Your philanthropic support enhances the investment you made in your own education, as each Hostos student success story makes the value of a Hostos degree more evident.

Scholarship Criteria

The Scholarship will help to defray the cost of tuition, fees, and other college-related expenses for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution shortly after graduation from Hostos. The student may be an international, full-time or part-time student. The funds may be used for books, transportation, childcare, and other academic-related expenses. Applicants must have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher and have evidence of acceptance to a four-year institution. They must also submit a personal statement, letter of recommendation from a Hostos faculty member, and documentation regarding their financial need. Students must apply through the scholarship website.
