The Program
The Two Generation Student Retention & Degree Acceleration Program, introduced in Summer 2014, keeps student-parents engaged with the College over the summer, increasing retention and accelerating progress towards degree completion. It also provides the students’ children with educational activities, which improves their academic trajectories. The program increases familial engagement by building pathways towards long-term economic sustainability for families and its results are impressive - more than 80% of student-parents from the most recent cohort remain enrolled or have graduated.
